The Supreme Court of Ohio recently held, in the case of Maynard v. Eaton Corp.,1 that the amendment to R.C. § 1343.03(A), which was enacted by 2004 Sub.H.B. No. 212 (“H.B. 212”)2 and became effective on June 2, 2004, adjusts the statutory rate of postjudgment interest on a final judgment entered by a trial court when the case is pending on appeal on the amendment’s effective date.
